How sweet it is...

... to be loved by you.

Two years ago today we opened a new chapter in our lives.  We can't believe how much has changed in the past two years and are so thankful for each other and all the blessings in our life.

2 months!

I can't believe our little guy is 2 months old.  Everyone is right when they say the time just flies.  We went for his 2 month check up today and confirmed that Keegan build just like his Daddy!  He is now 12 pounds - 55th percentile and 24 inches long - 80th percentile!  Guess he didn't get his mom's 5'2" genes :)  Unfortunately during this visit we got to experience the first round of shots.  Keegan was a trooper and it is true that it is just as hard for the mom as the baby.

Here is K right afterwards thinking...what just happened?

Luckily it was time for a feeding so I was able to feed him right afterwards to help him forget what happened.  Here he is in his car seat saying "let's get the heck out of here Mom!"

On a positive note for Mom, since the shots, Mr. Independent decided that he wanted to snuggle and sleep on Mom all day.  I'll take the snuggles while I can get it because I know my active little boy will be rearing to go soon enough!

It's all in the chins...

Well, Keegan definitely has inherited his father's love of the early morning and need to be active all the time!!  However, I found some pictures of myself around Keegan's age.  See any resemblance?

Or maybe here:

Sorry buddy, but you have gotten the multi-chin gene from me.  (Don't worry it goes away eventually!!)

Here we go... 8 weeks and counting

Well, we have given in and decided to start blogging.  Our little man is growing so fast and we hope this will help us document each and every precious day!  Keegan is already 8 weeks old.  Time is just flying.  He is such a delight.

What we have learned so far about our baby.  He:
  • is definitely a morning person like his father!  He loves his 4 am feeding with Daddy and just smiles the entire time.  (so does Mom because she is sleeping!)
  • is not such a fan of tummy time, but we are getting better.
  • is holding his head so well and loves to push up when laying on the chest of Mom or Dad.
  • loves his carseat, especially if we are going for a walk.  If he is fussy, as soon as he gets in his seat he knows we're on the go!
  • must get out of the house at least once a day.  Wants to see the world!
  • makes the cutest noises all day.  We call him our little mouse :)  (though the noises are cuter at 2 pm vs 2 am!)
  • loves the bath!  Just this week Keegan has learned to splash around and can't get enough of it.
  • does not like having to get out of the bath :)  He cries until we bring him upstairs to start our nightly routine.
  • makes his parents so happy each and every day.
Keegan we love you so much.  You are the highlight of our day and we are honored to be your parents.

A couple of hours before we met Keegan:
